This came somewhat dull....as in I'm cutting it on my arm right now w/o it actually cutting my arm. To be fair I didn't press down as hard as I could while cutting myself so take that for what it may be worth. I also tried shaving my arm and it didn't really shave much. I don't know if that is normal but it's a little annoying as I now have to sharpen it myself which is fine on some knives but the ones that are supposedly legends I was expecting to come already sharpened. This is my first Grohmann and I only bought this b/c two people whose opinions mean much to me when it comes to good quality knives both recommended or use this knife, so. I don't know if it's dull for liability reasons but whatever. In terms of construction and everything else, it truly is a beautiful knife and I could even see this being a sort of keepsake worth passing onto the next generation.
