Good stone, but don't expect you can make a razor on serrated edge with only this. It is tricky and requires skill, that is what I understood. Also what I have understood is that I would never ever buy serrated knife except if I would need an emergency knife for quick belt/garment removal, or for a battle knife may be. In EDC or heavyduty knife the serration is a drawback imho.Excellent choice for sharpening a serrated edge. As with the Lansky set, the fine stones are very fine incoarseness. This medium stone is a little on the"fine" side and is a good choice. I only use this one stone for the serrated edge, and it does a great job. I have used this on my Zero Tolerance 0350S. So you can see the type of serrations it works on. Just line the serrated area of the blade with the holding clamp. I use my Lansky set with the table top "Lansky Super "C" Clamp" holder. It helps to be able to get a close look at the work being done.We cook and bake often, using our knives several times a day. We had an old Chef's electric grinding type wheel sharpener, but it never got the knives to the sharpness that we were looking for. My wife bought me a complete set of Lansky Diamond hones. I have a very nice serrated bread knife, but never had the tools to sharpen it. My Wife went the extra mile, and purchased the Lansky Medium and Fine hones for serrated knives. It takes a long time to sharpen a serrated knife, you have to sharpen each serration separately, and then take down the burr created on the back side. The Lansky Hone(s) did a fantastic job on the Bread Knife, and now it slices easily and effortlessly. A must have for serrated knives!Another well made product from Lansky, well worth the money.Good as alwaysSure it works well as other lanksey products do but not much info on how to use itI love the Lansky sharpening system and have used one for many years on knives. I decided to try a medium and fine stone for sharpenign a few serrated blades in my kitchen and toolbox. These stones take some trial and error to understand and use. I find a slow stroke is needed to contol the sharpening stone surface so it does not fly out of a serration. You will understand what I mean if you try one of these sharpening stones. You get a sharp edge, but it does take some time to do it right. If one already owns a Lansky sharpening system (I've employed a five stone set for 25 years), this and the fine grade stone for serrated edges, are a great addition to one's set. I use these hones with the Lansky honing oil. There are easy to follow videos on YouTube to demonstrate the Lansky system technique for sharpening serrated edges. The Lansky hones for serrated knives make sharpening serrated edges easy. With a little practice, the Lansky hones make a good working edge something easy to develop. Considering how many modern knife offerings are "combo" blades, these easy to employ hones are very needed by many outdoors-men, and EDC knife owners.everything as described, I recommend itgood to keep my steak knives in top conditionQuesto accessorio è un'ottima pietra per completare e dico solo per completare il vostro kit di affilatura Lansky, diciamo che serve per entrare più nel dettaglio e cioè per affilare SOLO lame seghettate. I’m not using it properly, but I think it’s simply a poor design. Very difficult to get the grooves sharpened uniformly. Wouldn’t buy again, would probably get one of the round handheld ones.
